The Material
Our mini whisks have a silicone coating, which is a non-toxic polymer mostly made from silica (sand). Silicone is in the rubber family, able to withstand heating and freezing without leaching or off-gassing any hazardous chemicals. The silicone coating on these small whisks make them safe for use with all nonstick bakeware and able to withstand up to 500 degrees Fahrenheit.
